One down

The day began with a magical breakfast - Lisa's apple cinnamon French toast, fruit salad, Greek yoghurt.   While she toiled, I sat regally and indicated with a snap of my fingers when it was time for a refill of tea or more coconut syrup.  Guys, role reversal is awesome!

Victoria was beautiful today - the cherry and apple blossoms were spilling out from the trees and it was sunshine, all day.   We took it as a good omen and it was - a speedy trip downtown and a parking spot right outside the front door of the BCCA.  The whole thing took about 15 minutes and that included a little introductory chat and the usual issue of lining me up inside the scanner.   The machine went to work and did its thing while I tried not to think about it, and within a few minutes the techs were waving me out the door with a cheerful, "See you tomorrow!".   And so it begins.  One step towards the finish line; fifteen to go!

It will get even easier, then it might get even rougher, then it gets easier. Or it might not do anything. You are in good shape going in. I was going to tell you not to be surprised by your new found but very temporary super powers, but it is more fun to watch you bench press a bus every morning and light birthday candles with just your gaze. BTW it isn't the same without the tights and the cape. I know.

  2. Cheers Lew, good to hear from you! I trust your cape is in good order. Cath, sounds like you sailed through your first rad(ical) day as I think of it. Great pictures of a sensational brekkie and the lovely blossoms at Lisa's front door. WOW. What an inspiration...just like you.

  3. Horray for day 1!! A sunny day in Victoria in early May? Seriously?? That is definitely a propitious beginning. Can't wait to see the super powers video. Go with blue tights, to bring out your eyes. Can I stay at the Lisa B&B, too?? She can make me breakfast any time!

Three cheers to handling day 1 like the true superhero you are Mama(with or without tights!)
It feels SO wrong to be stuck here at work......

  5. I tried being a super hero once...went naked. Everyone asked me to "iron" my tights. Huge disappointment. Have decided to be a "secret super hero"....waaaay less pressure. The food at Lisa's certainly looks like the "Breakfast of Champions" tho'!! Keep using your powers for GOOD, Cathy as I wouldn't want to have to take you on! love....SUPER BeeGood
