If a picture paints a thousand words, it still wouldn’t be enough to describe the intense beauty, history and romantic culture of Verona. After a brief flurry tracking down the correct bus stop, we arrived in Verona about an hour later. What a rich landscape it was. Five hours of wandering up and down cobblestone streets, visiting churches and sitting quietly through part of a mass, climbing hills and castles and turrets. We stopped only briefly for a bruschetta and sangria at a tiny little street side cafe. Happy exhaustion and two minor blisters were well worth the riches received. And today, Venice awaits!
